Terms of Service

Agreeing to these terms

These Terms are an agreement between you and Plate Roll ("Plate Roll", "we", "us") covering the Plate Roll apps and the website at plateroll.app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who can use Plate Roll

You must be at least 17 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher, and able to form a binding contract. The Service includes simulated casino-style games. Don't use it where those games are prohibited.

Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Don't share, sell or transfer accounts.
• Your @handle must not impersonate anyone or be offensive. We may change or remove handles that break these rules.

Tokens and virtual items

• Tokens are earned by logging training (and, in some versions, by watching optional ads). They can be used only inside the Service.
• Tokens, shop tokens, platinum, cosmetics and every other virtual item have no monetary value. They aren't money or property, can't be redeemed for cash or anything of value, and can't be sold, traded, gifted or transferred outside features we provide.
• You get a limited, personal, revocable licence to use virtual items in the Service. You don't own them.
• We may change earning rates, caps, prices, games and items, and correct balances affected by errors, bugs or abuse.
• Workouts are checked by our servers. Sets that look impossible may be capped or held, and tokens earned through cheating may be removed.

Games and the jacked pot

• The arcade games are for entertainment and use only tokens. Outcomes are decided by our servers using random number generation, and results recorded by our servers are final.
• No game, draw, challenge or leaderboard offers cash or real-world prizes. No purchase is necessary to earn tokens or take part in the weekly jacked pot, and buying anything never increases your chances in a game of chance.
• The weekly jacked pot is drawn each Monday (UTC) among players who contributed that week. Your chance equals your share of the pool. The pot is paid in tokens.
• Coin flips, challenges and crew calls between players are settled automatically by our servers under the rules shown in the app.
• If you feel playing is becoming a problem, take a break. In the US you can call or text 1-800-GAMBLER for free, confidential support.

Purchases and memberships

When paid features are available (such as memberships or platinum), they're sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store, and those stores' payment, billing and refund terms apply. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Prices are shown before you buy. Purchased items are virtual items under these Terms and are non-refundable except where required by law or store policy. Purchases never convert into tokens used in games of chance.

Health and safety

• Plate Roll is not medical advice and isn't a medical device. Heart rate, recovery and effort features are for general fitness information only and may be inaccurate.
• Talk to a doctor before starting or changing an exercise program, especially if you have a health condition, injury or are pregnant.
• Exercise involves a risk of injury. You choose what you lift and how hard you train, and you do so at your own risk. Use proper form, spotters and safety equipment, and never attempt a lift to earn tokens, finish a quest or win a challenge if it isn't safe for you.
• Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or chest discomfort.

Rules of conduct

You agree not to:

• log fake or other people's workouts, tamper with the app, use bots, scripts, emulators or modified clients, or exploit bugs;
• create multiple accounts to gain tokens, rewards or jacked pot entries;
• buy, sell or trade accounts, tokens or items, or offer anything of real value for them;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content;
• interfere with the Service, overload it, or access it in ways we don't allow;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload, such as your profile photo, handle, crew names and notes. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it to run the Service. Profile photos are checked automatically, and content can be reported by other players. We may remove content, and restrict uploads, for anything that breaks these Terms.

Our content

The Service, including its software, design, art, cosmetics, names and logos, belongs to Plate Roll and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer it except as the law allows.

Suspension and ending

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put other players or the Service at risk, and we may change or discontinue features or the Service. If your account is closed, your tokens and items are lost and aren't refunded except where required by law.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plate Roll will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury arising from exercise or physical activity you choose to do, or loss of data, tokens or virtual items. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that isn't resolved will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [STATE], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
